I’ve owned this car for about 10 years, I used it as a daily driver in the UK before bringing it with me to Australia when I moved here 7 years ago... I then found more corrosion than I was comfortable with, so embarked upon a comprehensive restoration. The style and build of the Sprite was influenced by the Sebring Sprites of the early 1960’s and whilst not a true representation, it is built as I wanted. Due for completion this year (I hope), I look forward to driving her again...
Modifications
Engine: very light modification, bored plus 0.0625” giving a capacity of 998cc, camshaft ground with torque in mind and not power, light modifications to cylinder head to again search for torque. Brakes to period Sebring specification. Period heavy duty clutch. Car otherwise standard.
