History
Canadan built right hand drive for the ADF, vehicles transfered to Middle Eastern Africa ( Saraha Desert ) used for either front line mililtary or General Blamby's staff vehicles.
This woody was bought by my father in laws father in 1947, and used as a hearse for there funeral business and holiday vehicle towing a caravan to Cairns in the early 60's, only 6 Woody's returned to Australia, with some research we found that this is the only existing one in Australia, one in the UK green colour, and Canada.
Woody was restored over a period of 4 years all parts were found, including the engine which is still in the woody to this day, our hearts went to the rats of Torbok who were in that part of the war, we decided to restore it for the 2000 Mellenium.
Reason for not going full mililtary was the timber, it needed to be shown not covered, which has upset some people.
I bought the woody from my father in law 2001, as it used to break down on him, he has since passed, and at times it still has its break down time.
