History
I bought this car in 2000 when I was 17 as a project, its is a genuine GT but unfortunately the original 1500cc non x-flow engine was long gone, but it had been replaced with a worked 1600cc Escort motor. I striped and restored the car and rebuilt the engine. I had it back on the road at the start of 2003. I used it mainly as a weekend cruiser and until recently it spent most of its time hiding in the shed. I soon plan to install a 2lt Zetec engine with a 5 speed box, and upgrade the suspension and brakes to make it more drivable and reliable!
Modifications
1600cc X-flow motor bored out to 1730cc, 36mm Webber carb and GT manifold, mild cam, extractors, 2" exhaust and lowered suspension.
