History
Purchased in 1993 (As 3rd Purchased owner) with 23000Km on clock. First owner drove 9,000 Km over 7 years and second drove 14,000 Km over 3 years. Officiated on Shepparton to Melbourne Trading Post rallies for 3 years and displayed at Porsche 1998 50th anniversary display in Melbourne and received GOLD Award in the Show and Shine (in 1975-1989 911 Category). Second in Porsche Club Show and Shine in 1999 (missed First by 3 points!) Daily drive up until my retirement in 2013. Has always been garaged and Current Km 155,000. Car always expertly serviced by Andre Spohr (Pit Exchange). Shannon comprehensive insurance of course and still fully road registered and regularly driven.
Manufactured December 1983 – First registered April 26 1984.
Modifications
Vehicle is totally original (I.E. no modifications), including factory paint and Telephone dial wheels (which were standard on 1984 models). Phone dial wheels were not well liked in 1984 by Fuchs officionados, and following buyer complaints, Fuchs wheels became the standard. No, of course, all 911s have alloy wheels.
No whaletail!
Ferry Porsche did not like whaletails and did not care for restored Porsches that were better than when they originally left the factory. He often said that the cars are meant to be driven and consequently will have stone chips.
