History
The vehicle was original put together in Tamworth after being purchased from parents. From what I know, the engine was bored to either 2.1 or 2.2, the later model fuel injected head (The EFI model) was fitted along with K Mac front & rear springs & front roll bar & Koni adjustable shocks. Also fitted was the Volvo performance option from the period of dual 45mm twin throat Solex carbs.
I believe the car may have seen some rally/circuit action over a time & was eventually stored for some 14 years before it came to my possession, with reputedly only around 87 k on the odo.
Modifications
Fitted Whiteline ceramic plated custom extractors & complete new exhaust system. Fitted new genuine Weber 45 DCOE carbs, fitted a new 123 Ignition distributor.
Completely rebuilt all the brakes including upgrading the front to 164E calipers & vented rotors.
Front & rear engine seals replaced & a rebuilt clutch from Direct Clutch Services fitted with a lightened flywheel.
