History
Bought the vehicle back in Germany in 2001 stock as a rock and towed it in to the shed, The next 2.5 years I was stripping it down to bare shell and started with a full rebuilt/ restoration what I spend over 3000 hours on it at this point I stopped counting. No bolt has been untouched.
After one year of driving it I did a performance upgrade what involved bigger brakes ,a Turbo and change from mechanical injection to EFI.
Drove it for two years and put it in storage due to moving overseas. In November 2010 I installed an Engine out of a later model Golf GTI 1.8T.
In November 2012 I went back to Germany and loaded the vehicle in to a Container and shipped it to Melbourne where it arrived in February 2012.
Since then I converted it to RHD and it's now almost ready for registration.
Everything has been done by myself except the paint job and the roof fabric replacement.
