History
Purchased about 4 years ago, after it had been sitting idle for the previous 10 years.
The car was purchased new by a lady in Hobart, she kept it for about 15 to 20 years, after which it was purchased by the next owner from a car yard in Hobart, she had it resprayed in a Royal Blue colour from the original Pastel White.
This lady bought the car with her when she moved to the mainland, she had a new motor put in but it still gave her a lot of trouble so eventually she parked it where it sat for the next 10 years, and that's when I purchased it.
I had all the rust removed and replaced with hand shaped metal panels/inserts, I also had it resprayed in the original factory colour of Pastel White, I put in an all new Interior, including Steering wheel etc. With the engine I drained all the oils, including the Gearbox, and put in new, I also replaced the plugs and points, I fired it up and it runs better each time I take it out on club runs.
Modifications
Other than White walls, and having an engine out of a 1973 model beetle, it's stock standard.
