History
not mine, thats me in the brown corduroys, aged 8, I think, but Dad's 1st ever brand new car! I was just beside myself when his old black Vanguard Spacesmaster was traded in 18th November 1963, and this turned up in the garage that evening, from John A Gilberts (Naturally!) in Rushcutters Bay! Best car he'd ever own, unusual in that it was Valley Mist Green all over, no Fowlers Ivory roof. This pic was taken May 1964, on our way to Tassie, 1st of many, many trips in that wonderful car, it never put a foot wrong, dont ever remember it even coping a flat tyre......100% reliable, even a trip to Perth and back in 1966, all 5 of us bundled in,....and the Nullabor was still a dirt track....for another 11 years!
Modifications
zippo, stock as a rock...no radio. no door mirror, not even a pair of stone chip resitors in front of teh rear wheel arches! It did get a set of front and rear seat belts fitted in about 1965......
