History
Australian built matching numbers car. Validated by Ford of Australia. .Underwent a complete four year nut and bolt restoration 2011- 2015 to the highest level. . White originally. Its been red , green and now back to factory spec white. Did not need any welding as it had rust free straight body. Now 98% as it left the Homebush factory in March 1972. Driven every week and drives probably better than when new.
Sold new in April 1972 by Gregory's Motors Ford dealer in Canberra registration new was YKG326. Spent most of its life in the ACT. Was used on track day events but never rallied. Then it moved to Victoria in 1994.
Won best at Mk1 RS at Victoria RS owners club concourse event 1995. It was green then. Multi trophy winner in Victoria 2011- 2017.Back to white by then restored. . Featured in Australian classic car magazine March 2011 edition .Following its full restoration. Featured in RWD Ford Escort Almanac book by James RS 2018.
I brought it to WA in 2017.
Modifications
Basically its factory specification car . RS steering wheel. Mag wheels. Electronic ignition , Slip diff. All original parts are retained so it can be easily put back to 100% factory speciation.
