History
A Christmas gift from my parents as a very lucky 13-year-old way back in 1983. Got my L's then P's on the bike which then became my dad's farm bike for a number of years.
When my kids were old enough, and a bit rugged by then, it became their bike.
Come 2019, could the old girl be resurrected/restored?
Three and half years in the re-build and lovingly, and patiently, restored. The old girl is back. A dream come true and a treat to ride. A 54-year-old becomes 13 again. Yamaha XT 250's forever!
Modifications
Attempted to keep the bike as original as possible. Original tank, frame, wheels, carby, and speedo.
Finally tracked down an exhaust, plus a few other bits from around the globe. Many thanks to my son, who is an internet wizard.
