Ummm, how do I explain this one? I was basically looking for a sensible touring bike and somehow got distracted by this. A grand tourer in its original guise back in the day, this one has had the café racer treatment and I just couldn't resist - the luxo touring-bike in the minimalist style, how could anyone resist?
Apart from the cosmetics of clip-on bars, single seat and rear fender eliminator treatment, the machine is basically original and unrestored, shows a tick over 100k and is as solid as a rock. It also turns out I knew the previous owner bar one (just a complete fluke, someone I worked with many years ago), a complete Honda nut and very careful with his motorcycles, so I got a very good history with the bike as well.
Still wondering what to do with it - the touring rack and swag on the back doesn't quite fit the image, but I did buy it to ride it a long way - so I have to figure out something. In the meantime, I just love to look at it - it makes me smile!
