History
This was my Dad’s first project when he changed careers in 2003, after being a motor mechanic for over 20 years. He finally had the time to enjoy working on a car and it became a work of love. He spent long hours in the shed making sure everything worked smoothly and lined up just so. He would spend further hours polishing it until it gleamed. All work was completed by him, with some bartering for jobs he couldn’t do himself (a little weekend work for a local panel beater equals the beautiful Sundance Yellow paintwork). He was always just happy having a beautiful machine and to spend time at car shows discussing all things mopar over a beer or two. He was always surprised (but secretly proud) when the Charger picked up a trophy. He ended up collecting over 50 trophies from all over NSW, QLD and Victoria. He favourite time of year was March, for Chrysler’s on the Murray, which became family holiday each year.
My Dad passed away unexpectedly in November 2019 and I inherited his beloved work of art. I would love to see it win one more trophy in his honour, before it is regrettably sold.
