History
It’s hard to find a non-thrashed or unneglected VX Spac style Commodore these days so to get a good clean mechanically sound vehicle, unless you are extremely lucky, you must put in the cash and time required to build up the car you are wanting.
My Car was purchased in 2019 with only 70,000km on the clock. While she was fairly good, she wasn’t good enough. Approximately $10,000 later and a lot of blood sweat and tears I finally had the car I wanted, and it was a constant source of joy to drive and own.
Unfortunately, due to health problems resulting from a fall incident my life circumstances changed. While she was the car I had aimed for, my pride and joy, I had to face the reality that I struggled to physically work on her anymore. Also, due to the rental crisis, I bought a house so that my kids and I would finally have a place of our own to live in.
No more being forced to move all the time and the removal of a significant stress factor of finding a house to rent every 12 months. Rentals had become expensive and ridiculously hard to get. People I knew at that time were either being forced to live in tents or caravans or move in with friends or relatives. Unfortunately the house I brought, could afford, needed a lot of work and as such I had to find all the money I could muster. I realized that to raise money I would have to sell my beloved vehicle. Luckly, I found someone who I felt would appreciate and care for her as much as I did.
