History
'Bertie', is an Australian 1975 Volkswagen Beetle L (Superbeetle), assembled in Croydon, Victoria as a CKD kit from Germany. The last year for the sedan superbeetle and arguably the best driving classic Beetle.
His history up to approximately a decade ago is unknown, however, he was completely rebuilt a decade ago and passed through several owners each (including myself) adding their own modifications and work before making his way into my garage in 2018 where he will remain for the foreseeable future. Bertie is frequently seen (or more accurately heard) on his weekly cruise around the local region, at local club events to the enjoyment of the locals, school formals, and on occasion at show events with or without his club.
