History
This 2013 Opel Insignia OPC is a bit a car that is unheard of. People usually don't take a second look at this car as it's just cruising along hiding amongst traffic. Little do they know, that this car is honed on the Nurburgring with a 2.8 Turbo V6 under the hood pumping out a decent 239kw and 435Nm. It's also AWD with an electronically actuated LSD rear end allowing 40% torque to shift between the two rear wheels. The car is also equipped with electro-magnetic dampers that continuously adjusts according to driving conditions and driving modes allowing the car to corner almost flat in nearly all scenarios. It also comes with large 4 piston 2-piece fully floating Brembo brakes. The exhaust system is a free flowing system designed by Remus giving the V6 a raspy yet smooth note. The car is also equipped with a 6 speed automatic transmission that is quick to react when using the paddle shifts.
Along with all the sporting credentials, the car has a very well equipped interior with bucket leather Recaro seats. The seats are full electric powered with memory and heated seats functionality.
This car is also fully built in Russelheim, Germany, although the engine was built in Melbourne.
This car is understated for what it is and rare not only in Australia but globally as well. I am proud to own one of these.
I have owned this car for almost 3 years now and has about 127k km on the clock doing almost 25k km a year.
