History
Purchased in 2007, it had been sitting in a dirt floor shed in cabramatta since 1994, last registered 1986, it was a big boys club racer, big carbs, full aircraft seat belts, LS diff but overall in a sad and tatty condition rust and bog every where, these cars are way above their English counterparts in performance and reliability, but because they were called "JAP CRAP" there values were very low and not worth spending the big bucks rebuilding , since 2012 we have seen the values skyrocket here, Japan and in the USA
When I first got the red car home I intended to smarten it up and drive it, but I just kept taking parts off that needed refurbishing and its turned into a 9 year chassis off rebuild, repainted factory white with optional red trim it has had everything rebuilt or replaced even the new stainless steel bumper bars from Vietnam. it was completed November 2016, I now know why they killed the British sports car , WOW!! what a beautiful driving machine.
At the 2018 nationals at Part Macquarie NSW the car won Best restoration and peoples choice, a humbling and gracious feeling
