History
Manufacture date 22 march 1966. UK reg GHY 68D (15th April 1966). Found & restored in Australia 2001 - 2002 - see "The Jaguar Magazine" Issue 123, 2005.
Purchased from Cairns, 2008, since when it has had full bare-metal respray, new seals & and interior re-furbishment. Used regularly. Has been regestered in Victoria with original UK number GHY 68D. Chassis Number 1E50021, believed to be the first 1966 production-line car ( see JDHT web-site for chassis number/year of manufacture listings)- lower chassis numbers possibly 1965 manufacture prior to introduction as a 1966 production vehicle. Also possibly sloppy record keeping by Jaguar! All chassis, engine, body and gearbox numbers original and as per JDHT Certificate.
