History
This car was prepared (one of two cars) as a convertible by Jaguar Coventry for export to the USA and 12 month tour of Jaguar dealers to test buyer reaction for convertible XJS. Car was sold on completion of the 12 month tour and held by the same owner for over 35 years. the car was imported to Australia by me 5 years ago.
The car is absolutely original as prepared by Jaguar in 1976.
Modifications
car was modified from a standard XJS Coupe by Jaguar during original manufacture. US Jaguar importers further modified the car with "American" parts, such as Dayton wire wheels in lieu of the original Dunlop wheels.
with exception of the original body change and wheels the car is absolutely original
