History
Bought 1996 in Melbourne for $3000 it was a bit rough. Rebuilt in 2001 but not painted.
Modifications
Just finished a full nut and bolt rebuild, Frame stripped of unneccasary bits and painted matt black to bring out the chrome and aluminium, everything steel springs, pins and bolts were chomed, all other bolts and screws were replaced with stainless items. Replaced starter clutch as it looked like it was about to explode, the engine was left alone as it's still fresh from the rebuild in 2001, Jim Hanlon built the motor, 1134 bore kit was fitted, cams from a 1982 motor were fitted, crank welded and balanced heads ported polished and matched, gears were straight cut to stop slipping. Air box has been removed and K&N filter pods fitted. Looks like I have to fit flat slide carby's to get it running perfect as the original one's don't like so much air. Had the tank fitted with a RGV filler, replaced the front mudgaurd with one from another bike and all the fairing cleaned up repaired and painted white crystal pearl, my wifes Mazda is this colour and I love it. The wheels have been replaced with stanless spoked wheels I had made so I could fit a bigger tyre. Train spotters might say I ruined it by not staying original but it's my bike, I had a thought, acted on it and I am more than happy with the outcome.
