Vehicle was bought privately about 8 years ago from an older owner in southern California who had had the car for 22 years. I imported the car and initially had it on full rego, but now it's on club plates. As a member of both the Packard and Studebaker clubs, the car is mainly used for club outings. The paintwork and chrome are in reasonable condition, but the interior has been retrimmed to factory spec's by my son-in-law, who owns and operates Auto Image Interiors. Due mainly to the cost involved, there are no plans to restore the car's exterior. The previous owner ran a business servicing and repairing Packards before retiring, so the car was in pretty good mechanical condition when it arrived. I now maintain the mechanicals myself.
