History
Dad purchased the love of his life new from Bill Patterson Motors in Ringwood, now years later he has left it to me with his passing. It has 93,000 original miles and has been kept in as good as showroom condition that you can get in the Australian Climate.
He ordered the car with SS striping from the Bill Patterson in June 1972. Though it is a GTS Monaro Coupe 80837 which makes it pretty unique with SS striping, had he known it would take 6 months for delivery along with all the other options meaning he eventually picked up the car in Nov 1972 I guess he may have chosen differently. I then came along in March 1973 not long after the Airchief transistor radio cassette got installed, most likely to try and drown out a new baby crying.
Nowadays it comes out for fundraising (Good Friday Appeal) and Shannon's, Supercars displays.
Still in the family going on 50 years and will be HOLDEN on to her in case you were thinking about an offer.
Modifications
Chromed the rocker covers, air cleaner and fan to brighten up the engine bay and protect these items as opposed to continual painting.
Memories
These two Holden's have been in the family since new. They were my Grandfathers and Fathers cars and how now been passed on to me to keep them running and shown on every chance I can get.
