History
Having by 1912 established a worldwide reputation for medium-weight mmotorcycles, Triumph made the bold decision to make a two-stroke cycle and it was quite clear that the word must have come down from Mr Schulte, the boss: “Leave no stone unturned to make it worthy of the Triumph name.”
The result developed into the 1915 Triumph Junior LW (Light weight), as seen here today.
This triumph Junior was purchased in 1973 by a motorcycle collector, Ross Johnson. He purchased the bike from a car dealer in Sydney and brought it home to Cooma, in the NSW Snowy Mountains.
A few years later, Ross took the bike to his brother Jimmy Johnson in Brisbane, where he began the task of a complete restoration. The bike returned to Cooma, where it was later sold in 2016 to its current owner.
