Bought in 2010 with about 87000 original Japanese maintained kms.
The person I purchased from said they had changed heaps of gear but after doing a little maintenance I found that very little had been done apart from thrashing it.
Timing belt changed & a few leaks fixed, the car was driven off & on for a year.
2011 saw it start to blow smoke on startup, so I decided to do a rering & valve stem seals.
After pulling the engine down I found most of the bores OK but for some reason there was a huge carbon build up on the pistons & had affected the rings & they had lost there spring.
The engine reconditioner hadnt seen anything like it before with the rest of the engine looking A1.
So new rings & the head sorted & put back together I was off & running again.
I drive it about 1 maybe 2 days a week at most & soon I hope to get it in the garage to start repainting the body, just to tidy it up a bit.
Modifications
Trying to keep 100% stock.
Has AE82 SX wheels at the moment as I cant find any ninja sars that were standard.
