We had a great day with the local Kombi club dressed up as pirates as we dashed along the Sunshine Coast in search of answers to our list of rally clues. The day was blue sky perfect as we cruised one of the most scenic roads on the planet. It was all smiles as we raced to fulfil our treasure chest of questions and challenges~ such as hugging a perfect stranger, leaving a happy note on a random windscreen and even picking up 5 pieces of litter in a local park. The club then regrouped at our final destination to share our experiences, announce the winners and to enjoy a tasty BBQ.
It was a really 'feel good day'... until we returned home and it came time to remove the pirate skull and crossbones from the front of the Kombi. I had created the cross bones out of gaffa tape... which seemed like a good idea at the time. Little did I know of the industrial adhesive qualities of the tape which when peeled off took the paint job with it!!! Yes, I cursed like a rum maddened swashbuckler!!! Arg@##!!!
