History
Built originally as a fast road spec vehicle I prepared it for Tarmac Rallying in 2001 and ran in 5 Classic Adelaide’s and Marque Sportscar Sprint events in Victoria.
After 2 major component failures at speed in Classic Adelaide’s in 2003 and 2007 requiring a replacement chassis the first time and most body panels the second time, I retired the 6 from competition.
After a couple of years of guilt for crashing it and not being prepared to look at the damge I had done and was lucky to walk away from, I finally rebuilt the vehicle to fast road spec and enjoy it now for a spirited run through the hills on club runs and slow weekends.
Despite the fact that my 6 still carries a CAMS Log Book for Group N class, i do not ever plan on competing in it again - she is too special for that and i dont think i could face another re-build.
I was fortunate to be selected to take part in the TSOA - Vic, F1 Driver Parade and drew David Coulthard in his last race in F1 in Australia - he loved it and kept telling me to go faster all the way round the Albert Park track.
