2nd Vic owner, matching numbers, books. Bought from eBay in Sydney sight unseen. Drove back to Melb with a boot full of spares, didn’t miss a beat. Wanted to re register to original Black and white Vic plates. Vic roads wanted a signed form from the original 1973 owner to hand over the rights to the plates. Yet they wouldn’t give me his current address (understandable). My only option, a big long shot, was the original address on the books from 1973. I sent the form addressed to the original owner with the approx 40 year ago address explaining the whole situation. To my surprise, the owner still lives there...he signed the forms and I got my plates. Car is now on club reg yet original plates are available to put back on any time.
