I purchased this extremely rare Austin Mary Quant Mini from its first owner Claire Morgan Mary Quant’s design assistant. Mary Quant is the British fashion designer credited with designing the mini skirt and being a major part of the Swinging Sixties. Quant was commissioned by Austin to design a limited edition version of the iconic car. Claire Morgan the owner, designed the unique interior using Quant’s signature black & white striped fabric, and the designers daisy logo. This car has been in a container on Claire’s front lawn since 1988 after being involved in a minor accident. The car has done 40,000 genuine miles. I purchased it and I spent 3 years restoring the vehicle in the UK. The car is 95% original with only the perishables being replaced. The car drives as if it just came off the showroom floor. There are only 250 of these cars left, and this is the best and most original. I imported it to Australia when I returned, and I believe this is the only one in this country.
Modifications
No modifications, the car is totally factory. It has a modern period looking Blutooth radio,and an electronic conversion to the distributor.
