History
This was a barn find in Michigan (through a friend) The car was stored in this barn for 25 Years with 55,000 miles on the clock. I imported the car to Perth in March 2010. The very first thing was to have Shannons insure it. The Camaro is matching numbers and a genuine SS model.
Because it did not see the notorious Michigan roads for all those years, there was no rust to be found.
All the ball joints and bushes were in as new condition, however most of the bushes had seized from lack of use. Long story short all the mechanicals have been reconditioned and a fresh coat of show quality paint applied. The interior is still all original from 1969.
The car was to two shows in Perth, the hot rod and customs show at the Burswood Dome by invitation of the hot rod club and the Monaro club show. She has won two trophies for best American and runner up for best hot rod. In addition, a four-page feature in Perth street car magazine.
Modifications
The engine has been modified mostly for show. It has not been dynoed or raced however, the build specs would rate it around 500HP with a similar amount of torque. 387 stroker mahle pistons, comp roller cam, AFR heads, comp roller rockers, hardened push rods, edelbrock dual quad carbs on RPM air gap manifold and blueprinted and balanced
