History
I bought this car as three trailer loads of bits in, I think 1979. It took 15 years to restore - with me attending TAFE courses in - stick and oxy welding, spray painting, panel beating, small engine maintenance and more. The car and I spent 1 month in a panel beaters workshop where the boss "treated me like the apprentice" and taught me the basics of restoring old steel bodies. I borrowed an industrial sewing machine (I now have my own) and from a library book, taught myself how to do pleated upholstery etc. L had a neighbour who was a motor trimmer who gave help when I had no idea what I was doing. I painted it myself, originally blue and black with brown upholstery but my wife and I tipped it upside down in the creek on our farm, so I had to re do the engine, body and upholstery. So I chose cream and green, with green upholstery.
Modifications
Other than our choosing our own colours, the car is as original as I can make it.
