History
This 1954 Fj ute has been in our family’s hands for around 30 years, we acquired it in the early nineties in which it was already extensively modified and was featured in street machine a couple of years earlier. It had a mild 186 and was painted a bright white colour with jellybean mags. It was due for a restoration so it was decided to be pulled apart and be restored by the late nineties. After a couple of years of restoration it was time for some paint in which it’s now hothouse green colour was influenced by the new Holden ss ute “thunderstruck” ad which was a eye popping colour and a unique choice for a ute of this vintage. In 2019 it was given a full engine rebuild in which the 186 was stroked to XU1 Torana- spec.
