History
The Bedford was purchased by my father in 1963 for use on our farm at Koolunga in the mid north of South Australia..
The photo is taken in front of the garage in Brinkworth SA from where my Dad bought her so many years before. Dad sold the Bedford in 1978 and I found her in a shed at Warooka SA in 2003. It is the vehicle I learned to drive in. My siblings have many memories of farm life including the Bedford, now back in the fold.
Modifications
Mercedes Benz seats are way more comfortable than the originals stuffed with horse hair. Also we have converted the electrics to 12 volt. It was all 6 volt and yes I did on many occasions in the 60's and 70's AND in the 2000's crank start the old girl!
