History
I began the rebuild of my 1979 Californian Moke from the complete ground up. With the physical help of my parents and sister, we prepared the body work for its unique pink paint job. Then with my Husband and Father-in-Law, we rebuilt the 1275cc engine and gearbox, custom made brake, clutch and fuel lines, upgraded the front brakes to 8.4” 4 spot callipers, custom designed speaker boxes along with the side panels with locks and hinges to make it perfect for me!
The 13” x 7” superlite wheels were the biggest dish I could find and the sparco steering wheel direct from Italy, was well worth the 5 month wait!
Both front and rear seats have been reupholstered with black leather, matched along with pink piping and stitching. We also had a bimini cover made for the canopy to keep everything neat and tidy. It has been ceramic coated to protect the paint and the wheels from scratches and to maintain its shine and keep it looking perfect!
With the car now complete after a 3 year build, there is nothing more exciting than driving along and listening to the loud rumble of the exhaust!
