History
My Dad loved his Harley. It was his pride and joy. He wasn't a club type of guy but he just loved going for long weekend rides.
When Dad passed away he left his Harley to me, I felt very privileged. The last time the Harley was ridden was behind the Hearse at Dads funeral by his best mate. Almost 8 years ago.
Since then the bike has quietly been resting under the covers in storage waiting for the day it can be brought back to life.
Earlier in the year the covers were taken off and the restoration began. Surprisingly, the bike had virtually no rust and just needed a good polish. We're also completely going over the bike mechanically to make sure she is in 'Show Room' condition.
I'm able to upgrade to my open motorbike licence at the start of September and I'm counting down the hours until I can finally start up Dads Harley once and for all and experience first hand why dad was so passionate for this bike.
Check out the video I've posted of when the Harley was first fired back up after being silent for almost 8 years. An awesome moment!
