1989 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.6

Engine and gearbox fully rebuilt with all new parts, hand machined and flow benched, etc. Fabricated headers, new pollution gear installed, everything replaced: chassis bushes, injection parts, etc. Suspension and brakes upgrade, AMG ignition module, Lorinser original period wheels. Currently 3.1 litre 240hp engine approximately, as per AMG 3.2 period engine, build target 270hp with Ke-Jetronic modernization of its electronics and sensors. The old, stock Ke-Jet is kind of poorly tuned, by modern standards, lots of untapped power that new cars have tapped, so are hard to keep up with. I can get better emissions, economy and power this way and it's already not too bad for an old bird.
