History
I purchased the vehicle near Geelong in Jan 2010. The previous owner claims to have purchased the car from an elderly lady near Horsham. a friend of his was carrying out work at her house and spotted the ute in her shed. He then rang a freind (the previous owner) and an offer was made to buy the ute from her.
The ute was given to the elderly lady brand new in 1962 as a first car from her father who was the car salesman at the local Foed delaership. Appartently the ute didn't get much use as she purchased a sedan a few years later.
If that story is correct, I am the third owner of this 50 year old ute!
Modifications
Sprayed engine bay in Merino White. Rebuild 250ci with 2V head with ported heads, matched ported manifold and stage II cam. Rebuilt Stromberg carb. & runs on unleaded petrol. Custom 2 1/4 exhaust. Rebuild 3 speed column shift. Complete rebuild of all front end assemblies, suspension and brakes. Retrimed interior in NOS fabrics. Basiclly everything under the skin is rebuilt or new from the fuel lines to the electrical wiring and everything works!!! Now for the body!
