History
The Galaxie spent 40 years of it's life in California. It was bought in by a local car dealer and spent around 3 years without an owner. I was in the market for a classic car with one unbreakable criteria. The car must be able to fit all 4 of my kids. After looking at the normal options the Galaxie was ironically next door to work but I just hadn't noticed and after a few days of consideration the wagon became ours. Now the kids have claimed it as their own and I am just the driver.
When bought in 1968, the Galaxie was definitely purchased with pretty much no options. There is power steering, disc brakes and an electric tailgate window but not even a basic radio. The body has all the patina of a car that is untouched since new and every time I think about giving it a paint or bodywork it seems as it would be a shame to loose that character.
Modifications
Car is pretty untouched since 1968. Only change has been burgundy replacement carpet.
