Bought 3 years ago when our 2003 Mini Cooper S race car blew an engine, we needed parts quickly on Good Friday, so after browsing car sales the night before, Dad went to Sydney with 5 cars to look at as a potential donor car, this one had the lowest Kms, was the cheapest and fit the bill perfectly, after looking at it for 30 minutes, he had paid for it in the next 20 and had the car on the trailer on his way back home.
The car came straight off the trailer and less then 6 hours later the engine had been transplanted into our race-car with all performance modifications added.
Unfortunately we didn't finish the race that year but the engine in this car was stronger then the race cars.
We transplanted the engine back into this car in preparation to on-sell it, however I fell in love with the whine of the supercharger and the nippy nature of the handling.
I have had the car since then having purchased it off Dad, and installed numerous extra modifications that weren't allowed in the race car due to the rules and have continued to modify it into a JCW 210.
