History
Purchased by me in 2016. Previous custodian owned the car for 46 years having purchased it in 1970. He used it as a daily driver in the middle of outback Queensland for 35 years. Due to the large mileage covered - it was converted to manual transmission in the early 1980's making it an excellent touring car - now cruises effortlessly at 120kph at 3,000rpm in overdrive; and accelerates when you put your right foot down. A wonderful old large tourer that is a pleasure to drive; and turns heads all the time - both young ones and old ones.
Modifications
Converted from auto to manual and bench seat replaced with buckets over thirty years ago (early 1980's). Interior replaced with hi-quality viny, hood lining replaced, timberwork redone, various paintwork refurbishments over the years, major engine overhaul in 2013 - odometer had been around the clock many times during the 53 years from 1960 till motor overhaul.
