History
My Triumph Bonneville T120R is a 1971 model with a 650 cc bottom end and a 750cc top end . I inherited from my brother after he decided that life was not going well and opted out . I will leave it there . The bike was a complete mess and desperately in need of restoration and repair . So I set about pulling the entire bike down to the last nut and bolt . Completely rebuilding or replacing everything . New paint , motor , chrome work , wheels , tyres , electrical , shockers , nut , bolts and washers . The rebuild was my first time and with some help and advice from some friends, some of which worked at a local motorcycle shop . The bike was finally reborn to its former glory , like brand new ( slightly customised) but not over the top .
Modifications
A few modifications were made , including replacement of the old coil system and upgrading to an electronic ignition , oversized pistons, port and polished heads , stainless steel nuts , bolts and washers used throughout. Modern gauges and headlight . Stainless steel spokes , newly relaced wheels , modern rear shocks and struts . New custom paint job and new chrome used extensively .
