A slow import from Japan 2 years ago. Originally I wanted an outback 4WD monster, but my family of five generations of women from 2 to 92 preferred Driving Miss Daisy – that they now watch in the boss's seat in the back. I only wear the cap sometimes.
The car has endless buttons, but the real joy is near-silent inter-state trips on air suspension floating 2.3 tonnes of calming car. The co-pilot sleeps stretched out legally. I replaced the exhaust gas recirculation system to keep it original and cleaner – Tokyo humidity and low-speed runs can choke them up a bit. I get around 10-litres-per-hundred on the open road at around 1650 revs on the V12. Around town you're better walking though.
