Quick, handles like a go kart, incredibly tuneable.
Factory exhaust is a riot, with crackle & pops on the up & down shifts, and a rev-matching function that makes the skill of heel & toe, refined & practiced over 30yrs of driving and competing, totally redundant.
Also love that it comes only as a 6 speed manual - real “drivers” car.... keeps the auto-only sooks out of it.... LOL ....
Modifications
No mods. Incredibly fun. INCREDIBLY capable. As a devotee of GTI Golfs, it is difficult to acknowledge there is a new “King” of hot hatches.
More power & torque, superbly engineered, great build quality, and so loaded with kit as standard, that it makes a GTI “optioned up” to match the “N”, about $10k more expensive....
