History
Photo isnt my actual 'daily driver' at present as is my earlier 'daily driver' which is off the road to make / fit up the bodywork prior to having it all put on my Berlina (this ones an executive) when this one will then go to a demo derby. (basically its the mockup for my daily driver)
car was a rough old VT I bought a few years ago as a work car and while I like the VT VZ series I allways hated the twin grille fronts on them or the ugliness of the VZ grille /Bonnet and never understood why HSV dropped the old letterbox grille of the earlier models. I also prefer the 5litre engine as opposed to the chevs so my only real legal option was doing an earlier VT if I want that engine.
kit is to be a one off as I don't want it to look like all the other Kitted wagons and is to be very understated as am going for a 'factory' look as on the old VK directors rather than all the big wings, ducts, scoops etc seen on all to many, as are the old SV5000 wheels as opposed to some modern 20 inch style also regularly seen (these are a seven inch set however Berlina has a full polished 8 inch set allready fitted but the fronts protude slightly outside the guards so will eventually be a 7 inch front set with 215 55 tyres and 8 inch with 235 (245 if they fit but havent tried yet) on the rear.
as seen here the kit has a long way to go as also uses modified ss style side skirts and rear bumpre and still has further modifications to the front bumper 'mouth' prior to becoming mold plugs (wont be using the origional cut and shut parts as will be to prone to cracking so only using this to mold new parts
Modifications
custom one-off bodywork including ( once remolded) custom front and rear bumpers, modified VT SS side skirts, custom letterbox style grille, Vx Berlina headlights, Vt "holden by design" HSV front spoiler
SV 5000 wheels (Polished) to have centres machined out on face of wheel (as on VN HSV Statesmans) with custom polished smooth centercaps/nut covers (legal as the wheel is actually the same initial castings as the factory machined statesman versions)
'Pretty Good' ICE gear (not going into details here as theives can read too)
