Upon purchasing this vehicle which i'd yearned after for years i instantly had to get the cheque book out. Within 3 months of owning it it had an aparent knock which required the entire engine being removed and rebuilt, needless to say i was disappointed but also at ease with the piece of mind that i had now a brand new EJ20 in which i was about to pour some more money into.It came with a GFB quick shift kit, which i highly recommend and a set of 18"s. I've tried to keep it conservative with a bit of poke so i installed a 3" turbo back exhaust with high flow cat to give it that typical "there's a wrx in the neighbourhood" note. My neighbours hate me for this lol. I then made a trip to S and J Automotive as Sean is the Enzo Ferrari of WRX's and after a few upgrades put a very big smile on my face. Sean installed an ECUTEK computer upgrade, 500hp high volume fuel pump, sti front rotors with upgraded pads, whiteline rear sway bar and anti-lift kit.
The suspension upgrades made a huge diffenrence in handling, in actual fact it was like driving a completely different car. The car was dynoed with 155kw atw which doesnt sound like much but when you press the pedal and go back in time you are reminded of where that extra money went. I highly recommend S and J Automotive for any WRX tunes or upgrades, my WRX is now completely reliable, starts first time every time and performs the same everytime. I couldn't help but add a stereo to compliment the rest of the car so i've added a Sony head unit clarion amp and 2x12" Cadence subs in a custom Cadence box. Now people definately know when i'm coming. I'm not sure if i'll do anymore mods as i want reliability, but i'll keep you posted. . . .
