Bought for not many dollars to replace my old 3 cylinder. I'd seen this car a few years back. From front on it looked like a GTti with the special bumper/ CHARADE grille etc. As it went by I could see it wasn't, but it had the rear bumper and hatch spoiler. It looked pretty tidy. Fast forward to when I get it and the only thing GTti about it is the hatch spoiler
So, blue interior, stupid wooden steering wheel installed crooked with boss kit held on with loktite??? stuff. Came with a spare car with a tidy grey interior, original steering wheel in brand new condition (covered since new),seats the same. Swapped interiors and anything else on spare car that was in better condition. Swapped springs and shocks, replaced bushes and reinstalled the rear sway bar which was missing. Fixed problem with exhaust being routed incorrectly. Service regularly, add fuel and drive.
Modifications
4-2-1 extractors, 2 inch exhaust, lowered King springs, Sachs shocks, urethane bushes, 15 inch lightweight wheels with 175/50/15 Goodyear tyres, side skirts, genuine GTti rear spoiler, awful paint job, various bumps and bruises
