History
Major components found in WA in 1983, I spent 4 years collecting the missing parts (mostly sourced from the USA) and in 1987 I commenced a 5 year full nut and bolt restoration completing the car in 1993. I have driven the car on many club and national rallies. The car is able to maintain comfortable highway speeds and is a pleasure to drive will typical roadability for a vehicle of the late 20's.
The 1929 Auburn speedster runs a 260 C.I. Lycoming straight eight side valve, Warner 3 speed gearbox, Columbia differential, 4 wheel Lockheed 12 hydraulic brakes and 6 volt Delco electrics.
The speedster usually draws an appreciative crowd and is still competitive when shown at local car events.
Modifications
The car is fitted with Auburn dealer authorised Woodlite headlamps.
