History
Most 1934 Dodge bodies were built in South Australia by TJ Richards ( This was due to a ban of the importation of Car Bodies which was in place to promote local industry at the time by the Prime Minister, Billy Hughes.
This Dodge is a factory built Right Hand Drive that was made in Detroit. There were only a hand full of Right Hand Drive's made in 1934 for worldwide export which may make this car a one-of-a-kind in Australia.
I purchased the car 20+ years ago where the previous owner had spent 5 years stripping it down. Sourcing parts for an 80 year old car is hard at the best of times but making contacts over the years has helped dramatically in getting the car where it is today.
I was even able to source an original set of New York 1934 Number Plates which have also been restored. The car was displayed at the last Motorclassica.
