History
Purchased with NSW Number plates, GTI-94X,(for sale), re-registered in Canberra.
We have driven three times from Canberra to Melbourne, returning by a different route each time and made one trip to Queensland return, all without any trouble, and returning excellent economy. It’s the only car I’ve driven these distances without back or butt pain after a 700+km straight through run. Have fitted an overload arrangement for the rear so when we carry extra passengers and luggage, it doesn’t bottom out on speed-humps and potholes.
We had to get another car, a Camry automatic, as a shopping trolley for Lynn. The Suzuki is too responsive for her, with a small steering wheel, a short gear-stick on a manual transmission and that incredible 1300cc DOHC 16 valve engine. The power to weight makes it even more fun to drive than my 1970s era Mini Cooper, so it’s a bit of a handful for a novice driver. (It takes something pretty sh*tty to wipe the smile off my face for hours after I’ve driven a windy, hilly stretch of road. Like a superbike without the wind in your face. :)
