1987 VW Golf Mk2 GTI - Type 19E .
Car had not been registered since 2008 and had been stored in an open farm shed. All 4 headlights and the front grill were broken, front windscreen cracked, hood lining falling down, the list goes on. Rats had made a home in it, I removed three nests and one dead carcass from inside the heater unit.
Completely torn apart and rebuilt, everything repainted, replacement dashboard fitted, along with a period correct radio, engine rebuilt.
I trailered it from south west Western Australia to Adelaide and restored over a three year period.
Modifications
1.8 litre 8 valve motor with Oettinger modifications.
Koni suspension.
