History
My first car. Thanks to my dad's confidence in me, I saved and bought this car before I was 17 and had to wait three months to qualify for my driver's licence before I could drive it. That was 1976 and I kept this big GT for 11 years in perfect original condition.
I purchased it for $5,250 and traded it for $4,000. Cost me around $120 a year. Cheap car!
I only had to replace the battery, exhaust systems and at around 105,000 miles (odometer was miles then) I replaced the factory twin disc clutch with a new one.
Have been in touch with every subsequent owner, and it's comforting to know it's been maintained in perfect condition. It was recently featured in Australia's Survivor Car magazine.
