History
I purchased the car when I was 18, 10 years ago and drove the car as a daily for 5 years.
One day I decided to paint the engine bay as it looked a little run down. One thing lead to another and it became an entire rebuild from the ground up. The body and pan were alkaline dipped, rust treated and then dipped in an etch primer.
The original nuts and bolts were restored also by alkaline treatment and then re-zinced.
The motor was rebuilt and upsized to an EFI 2110cc
The gearbox was also rebuilt.
The car was painted in its original colour Beryl Green. The seats, roof lining and door panels were all reupholstered in NOS materials.
The fender beading, running board mats, steering wheel, hand brake and indicator arm were all colour matched from the factory as a 1 year only special in 60/61 cars.
This German imported car was purpose built to look like a performance VW from the 60s era with some subtle modern features
